Dear Journal,
June 5, 2018
Nathan asked if I can pick him up on Thursday and bring him over to my house. Although it's a long drive, I guess I'll be up for it. He said he's giving me gas money, so that usually means he's filling at least half my tank. He's real good at making up for being slightly inconvenient. The cats keep pissing on the box spring next to my room and I need to figure out how to make everything stop smelling like piss. I don't want to have to take the box spring completely out. I'm lazy. The carpet scrubber broke while I was trying to scrub the bottom of the box spring, so my only other option is to mop the basement. I hate cleaning but I love Nathan. Love is compromising.
Once again, Zach is breaking my heart and it's excruciating. Ela was training a new girl and apparently he wanted her to get the new girl's number for him. -Sigh- he notices all the cute girls but never notices me. Never notices how much I put myself out there. Never appreciates how much I try to be of help to him. And I don't think he ever will because he's only interested in getting laid and he's not interested in any sort of real relationship. I don't know why I'm so bent out of shape about it. I have Nathan and Nathan appreciates EVERYTHING about me. Maybe I just crave his approval and attention.
Brenda said they fired Stacey this morning just because she was 1 minute late. She said Stacey had 0 personal hours left. I'm sure I'll hear about it on Facebook later. This explains why I saw her online when I woke up. She's probably happy that she doesn't work here anymore. She achieved the dream we all wish to have: leaving the prison.
I bought a lunch box so that I can put a cap on my spending. I'm trying my best to keep variety in my lunch so that I don't get bored and start spending a crapton in the vending machines again. Yesterday was 2 turkey sandwiches, 1 serving of fruit and cup noodles. Today is 1 turkey sandwich, a big burrito and 2 servings of fruit. Maybe tomorrow, I'll bring pears instead of cantaloupe.
