Dear Editor
You refused to post a Memorial add that I paid for regarding the late Herbert Williams. I just wanted to tell you that I think that you are biased and that your stating that my memorial was in "letter" format is a lie. The fact is that if it were in a "letter" format I would have put DEAR at the begining. It would not have had a story about someone's life in it. It was infact not a letter and it was infact rude of you to claim that it was. Your asking me to send it to another area was rude. The man Herbert Williams deserved to have his name posted in a memorial section of the newspaper because he fed me and clothed me when I was a 14 year old vagrant run away with family problems at home. The fact is that he was black and I was white. He never touched me, he never asked me for anything and my mother knew where I was and I was safe. Your newspaper refusing to post such in a memorial is in my opinion simply biased to caucasion, african american issues. The family of this man deserved to know that someone cared about him. If you hadn't written such a bad obituary on him I would probally not have felt the need to post a memorial. The man deserves to be remembered for what he did. He was loved and honored by atleast one person in life.
